COLORADO SPRINGS — Jeanne Anne Mitchell Kruse passed away at 92 years of age on March 28, 2023. Jeanne lived a fulfilling life as a mother, home­maker, seamstress, costume designer and avid crafter. She loved Irish music, classic films and spending time with friends and family. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, February 26, 1931, to Ruth and John H. Mitchell. She attended Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, WI and then finished her B.A. degree at University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA.

She married James H. Kruse in 1952 and then moved to Colorado Springs and had four children: Coco (Frans) Klinkenberg, Liz (Vincent) Niski, Mitch (Liz) Kruse and Matt (Brittany) Kruse, seven grandchildren: Jess, Joe (Joscelyn) Niski, Josh, Devon, Brandon, Lauren and John; and two great-grandchildren: Jase and James.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Martha Schluter, and her former husband, Dr. James H. Kruse.

There will be a private memorial service for close family and friends later this year in Fort Dodge, IA. Those wishing to honor her life can make a donation in her name to Benet Hill Monastery, 3190 Benet Lane, Colorado Springs, CO 80921.
