DAVID L. ADAMS

David L. Adams, 79, of Humboldt, died February 27, 2023 at his home. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Interment will be held in Indian Mound Cemetery. All are encouraged to wear Iowa Hawkeye attire to honor David.

David Adams, son of Donald and Winifred (Parks) Adams, was born January 17, 1944, in Sheldon, IA. He graduated from Iowa Falls High School and earned his college degrees from ICCC and Buena Vista in Human Services. David was employed as a juvenile court officer serving in Humboldt and Wright counties, retiring in December 2009. He was a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan, enjoyed listening to a variety of music, and had a deep love and appreciation for nature and wildlife.

David is survived by his wife of 54 years Anna Marie Adams of Humboldt; his children Derek (Angela) Adams of North Liberty, Valerie (Zach) Smith of Olathe, KS, and Kristen (Dan) Denman of St. Paul, MN; grandchildren Alaini, Landon, Mason, Eli, Madelynn, Keaton, Kyler and great granddaughter Mila; his mother Winifred Adams, two brothers and a sister. David was preceded in death by his father Donald Adams, father-in-law Mennie Bakker and mother-in-law Edna Mae Bakker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the charitable discretion of the family or to the Wounded Warrior Project or The Titan Project.
