MARY JO CHRISTENSEN

MANSON — Mary Jo (McClint­ock) Christ­ensen passed away Dec­ember 9, 2022, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home, after a two year battle with cancer. She was born to Marvin and Maxine McClintock on December 5, 1947 in Lake City, IA.

She graduated from Lake City High School in 1966 where she was the captain of the all-state basketball team. After graduating from Northwest Missouri State she took a teaching position at Manson High School where she remained until retiring in 1998.

In 1971 she married Randy Christensen in Auburn, IA. They made their home in Manson, IA where they were blessed with two boys, whom she adored, Trent and Matt. She enjoyed following their athletic endeavors.

Mary Jo is survived by her husband Randy; sons Trent; Matt (Kyra) Christensen; grandchildren Collin (Jordyn) Christensen, Miles Christensen and Ada Christensen; sister Jane and brother Mike; brothers-in-law Roger (Vicky) Christensen, Ron Christensen; and sister-in-law Kathy Christensen; and her Golden Girl Friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life is planned for later next Spring.
