ERLING NEREM

THOR — Erling Charles “Chuck” Nerem, 87, of Thor, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 1, 2022, with his family by his side. Chuck held a distinguished career in the United States Army, worked and enjoyed his own business in aircraft maintenance, as well as, owning and operating a horse and cattle ranch.

He is survived by his wife Lois of Thor, his children Pastor Tracy Nerem of Thor, Brett (Lori) Nerem of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and Kristen Nerem-Lowery of Moorland, his grandchildren Amber, Casey, Becca and Cornell, his great-grandchildren Sage, Willow, Coal, Ryker, Thomas, Ellie and Blair and his brothers Merrill (Charlene) Nerem of West Union and Clair Nerem of Badger. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ron. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6th with visitation after 9:30 a.m. both at Ullensvang Lutheran Church in Thor. Burial with military honors will be in East Ullensvang Lutheran Cemetery, Thor. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service of Humboldt is in charge of the arrangements.
