DICK S. MARSH

Celebra­tion of Life will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, October 4th at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. A visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.

Dick is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Carl (Kim) Marsh of Fort Dodge, Rick (Ashley) Marsh of Fort Dodge, Jason Marsh of Humboldt, Amber (Luke) McLoughlin of Duncombe, grandchildren Cyle Marsh, Cody (TeAna Espinoza) Marsh, Trenten Marsh, Ashley Halligan, Aubri McLoughlin, Jaxx McLoughlin, Emma Montgomery, Sam Marsh, Brandon Marsh, Brady Marsh, Alisha Marsh, and Emersyn Marsh, and great-grandchildren Cameron Lacaille-Marsh, Lanayea Harris, Kaylex White-Marsh, and Koe Marsh. He is also survived by his siblings, Kate Knoll, Doris Swamberg, William Marsh, Patty Draper, and Phyllis Breeden, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Effie (Caseboldt) Marsh, siblings, Bud, Dennis, Bobby, Don, Pete, Jessie Pappish, Margaret Miller, Thelma Ellisen, and Ruth Page.

Dick Samuel Marsh was born March 25, 1942, in Iowa City. He was raised around the Coalville and Lehigh areas. He went to work at young age to help his family after his dad’s sudden passing in 1957. He worked various jobs including 20 years with Lehigh Sewer Pipe. On June 3, 1965, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Olson and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Dick enjoyed mushroom hunting and was an avid horseshoe thrower. He loved time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dick was always a friend to everyone he met in life and will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
