ANDREW ‘ANDY’ RUNYAN

Andrew “Andy” Jon Runyan, 42, of Fort Dodge, died Thursday, October 21, 2021, in Fort Dodge. Services will be 1:30 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge with Rev. Kendall Meyer officiating. Burial will be in the North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

Andy is survived by his wife, Stephanie, and their daughter, Zoey “Jordan” Runyan, both of Fort Dodge; his parents, Michael (Royce) Runyan-Renze of Des Moines and Barb (Greg) Kruthoff of Badger; two sisters, Lacy (Clint) Harms of Fort Dodge and Erin Runyan (Taylor Monson) of Fort Dodge; and his grandmother, Eloise Robson of Fort Dodge. Andy is also survived by his father-in-law, Walter Schuur Jr. of Badger and mother-in-law, Roxanne Schuur of Fort Dodge; brother-in-law, Jason Schuur of Fort Dodge and sister-in-law, Angie Evans of Fort Dodge; grandmother-in-law, Marlene Schuur of Fort Dodge and several nieces and a nephew.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Lyle Robson, and his grandparents, Merrill and Mary Runyan, and grandfather-in-law, Walter Schuur Sr.

Andrew Jon Runyan, the son of Michael and Barb (Robson) Runyan, was born December 6, 1978, in Fort Dodge and graduated from St. Edmond’s High School in 1997. In February of 2008, Andy married Stephanie Schuur in Fort Dodge and after their marriage the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. At the time of Andy’s death, he was a chemical unloader for CJ Bio America.

Andy enjoyed being part of the Fort Dodge Dragon Boats Races, playing softball for CJ Bio America, and playing Pokemon Go.
