Humboldt man dies in DM crash Sunday

HUMBOLDT — A Humboldt man died in a vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Des Moines.

Jose F. Jimenez Jr., 21, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The Des Moines Police Department reported that the single vehicle crash happened at about 1 a.m. Sunday on County Line Road near Southwest Ninth Street.

Officers reported that Jimenez was driving west on County Line Road when he lost control of his vehicle. It went off the road and hit a utility pole before crashing into a house.

Police said Jimenez was thrown from the vehicle.
