KAREN BURTON

WEBSTER CITY — Karen Burton, 83, of Webster City, died Monday, June 14, 2021, at Van Diest Medical Center. No services are scheduled at this time. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.

Karen Kay Burton, daughter of Howard and Beatrice (Scott) Kepler, was born February 12, 1938, in Webster City. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957 in Webster City and Fort Dodge Beauty School. On April 18, 1958, she was united in marriage to Donald Burton Jr. in Webster City. Karen worked weekends at Stylists and for the Webster City High School as the Cafe monitor and Prom Coordinator. She retired in June of 2014.

She is survived by her son, Donald “Butch” Burton III of Webster City; daughter, Tammy Burton of St. Helena Island, SC; grandchildren, Haley, Hanna, and Jake Gibbs; sisters, Roberta (Wayne) Johnson and Teddy (Dean) Anderson, all of Webster City, Ruth (Rudy) Gatti of Minnesota, and many extended family and friends.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Don in 2019; her parents and sister, Patty Twedt.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Karen loved to go antiquing and attend Don’s ball games.
