JUNE M. LYNCH

BARNUM — June M. Lynch, 85, of Coon Rapids, formerly of Barnum, passed away on Thursday April 29, 2021, at the Perry Lutheran Home.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.

Survivors include her daughter Dee Ann (Doug) Good of Rock Springs, GA, granddaughter Rachel (Chris) Simons and great granddaughters Olivia, Zoey and Violetta, granddaughter Carrie (Lasal) Hines of Rossville, GA, daughter Nancy (Jerry) Hagan of Bayard, grandson Jacob (Shannon) Hagan of Coon Rapids, great grandchildren Lydia, James, Jack Emmett Hagan, granddaughters Julia Hagan of Carlisle and Elizabeth Hagan of Carroll, daughter Susan Lynch of Fort Dodge, granddaughters Victoria (Jon) Cygan of West Des Moines, Priscilla Raile of Knoxville, daughter Janell (Jody) Meiners of Coon Rapids, son Robert Lynch of Fort Dodge, grandson Lukas Lynch, currently serving in the U.S. Army, granddaughters Lauren and Leah Lynch both at home, brothers Walter Herron of Indianola and Wayne Herron of Rochester, MN, sisters Jody (John) Lyons of Parachute, CO, brother-in-law Jerry Chadderton of Wabasha, MN, sister-in-law Sharon (Joe) Eichler of Coldwater, OH, brothers-in-law Dan (Gail) Lynch of Corona del Mar, CA, and Bernard Olson of Moorland, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lynch, parents Ivan and Ruth (Bowman) Herron, stepmother Coral Herron and her sisters Judy Chadderton and Joan Karow, brother Wesley Herron, sister-in-law Peggy Olson, brother and sister-in-law Jim and Dona Lynch.

June M. Lynch was born on June 15, 1935, in Coon Rapids, IA. She graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 1953. On May 4, 1957 she was united in marriage to Robert Lynch at St. Joseph’s Church in Barnum. They made their home in Barnum for over 40 years. In 1968, the couple established Lynch Construction in Knierim which they owned and operated until retiring in 1998. She was the Postmaster in Barnum for over 30 years.

June enjoyed staying busy, gardening, antiques, relaxing at the cabin at Twin Lakes, socializing with friends and loved to spend time with her family. She moved to Coon Rapids in 2014 and then entered the Park View Assisted Living in 2017. June moved to the Perry Lutheran Home in October 2019.
