DONALD BARNES

BODE — Donald Vernon Barnes, 77, of Bode passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at home surrounded by family following a lenghty illness.

He is survived by his wife Myra and former wife Jan Bryant of Missouri, sons Donald Dean (Angela) Barnes of Gilmore City and Larry Johnson of Bode, daughter Delta Dawn Guns of Bode, grandchildren Chester, Symba, Hailey, Donny, Amanda, Bryan, Christopher, Ethan and Falcon, seven great-grandchildren, his sister Judy Furne of Battle Creek, sister Jolene (Dick) Streck of Schleswig, and Rick (Denise) Barnes of Harlan, Iowa.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 1:00 – 2:00pm at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Bode with funeral services to begin at 2:00pm. Masks are required. Mason-Lindhart Funeral Service will be assisting the family.
