KRISTI L. STEIB

A private family service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Laufer­sweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. John Janke officiating. A visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Face coverings are required and social distancing is encouraged.

Kristi is survived by her husband, Allen Steib of Fort Dodge; children, Nick (Amy) Hogan of Dayton, Zakary Steib of Des Moines, Abigayle Steib (Fabian Salazar) of Storm Lake, and Karsyn Steib of Barnum; grandchildren, Shayna, Halle, Owen, Kaden, Harpper, and Emarie; mother, Dora Larson of Fort Dodge; siblings, Rodd (Patty) Larson of Fort Dodge, Barbara (Brad) Larson of Mason City, Deb (Mark) Yepsen of Rosemount, MN, father-in-law, Dennis Steib and sister-in-law, Jaci Steib both of Fort Dodge.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Larson and mother-in-law, Carol Steib.

Kristi Lea Larson was born April 25, 1968 in Fort Dodge. She attended Northwest Webster schools and graduated from Northwest Webster High School in Barnum. She then attended Iowa Central Community College. On March 12, 1988 she was united in marriage to Allen Steib at Deer Creek Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Fort Dodge, Clare area. She worked at Trinity Regional Medical Center as a medical transcriptionist for many years. She later worked from her home for various transcriptionist agencies. Kristi enjoyed taking care of others and was her father’s full-time caretaker in his later years. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She loved spending time with family and will be greatly missed.
