RONALD DEWEY

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.

Ronald is survived by his children, Jenny (Dan) Croft of Milford and Rebecca (Roger) Swanson of Seymour, TN; grandchildren, Elizabeth (James) Point, Chad (Holly) Croft, Chase (Marcella) Croft and Taylor Croft; 6 great-grandchildren, Jayce, Delaney, and Wesley Point, Abby and Emily Croft, and Zander Croft; brother, Raymond Dewey of Rolfe and sister, Sandra Jordison of Coalville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mae Dewey, wife, Elizabeth Dewey in August of this year; and children, Rhonda and Randy.

Ronald Lee Dewey was born May 8, 1935, in Fort Dodge. He lived in Fort Dodge his entire life and attended and graduated from schools in Fort Dodge. In 1954, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Bodady and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. He owned and operated Dewey Landscaping in Fort Dodge. He was actively involved in his local union as a representative where he campaigned for fair wages in the city. Ron was known for his humor and generosity. Once you were his friend, you were adopted as family for life. He was a great employer and friend to many.
