SHARYN MARIE TRASK

WEBSTER CITY — Sharyn Marie Trask, 75, of Webster City, died Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Van Diest Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2020, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church with Father Stephen Meyer and Deacon Dan Hurt, officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Cemetery in Duncombe. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Sharyn Marie Schumacher, daughter of Carlisle and Charlotte McCoy Schumacher, was born January 19, 1945, in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Fort Dodge Public School. On May 14, 1966, Sharyn was united in marriage to Fred Marvin Trask at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Duncombe. She worked for 34 years as a cook for the Webster City Middle School, where she continued part-time until her passing. She was known to many as the “Bronco Lunch Lady”.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Fred; children, Andy Trask and Kelly Trask, all of Webster City, Dave (Amy) Trask of Jewell; grandchildren, Emmaly, Teagan, Kaylen, and Adey Trask; brothers, Robert (Phyl) Schumacher, Gary (Judy) Schumacher, Dick Schumacher; sister, Sue Brighi and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Sharyn was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Norma Jean Doyle.

Sharyn attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She loved to cook, shop, and just drive wherever the GOVANGO took her. Sharyn especially enjoyed spending time with her Grandkids and celebrating with family at Christmas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Sharyn’s memory to her family to be used at their discretion.
