RICKEY JOE METZ

Rick was born on 6/8/1955 and passed away 1/19/2020 due to complications from a cardiovascular condition. He was preceded in death by his father Henry Keatly Metz, and mother Luella Mae Cunningham. Surviving siblings are in birth order: Sharon Baurer, Nancy Jacobs, Larry Gahan, Jackie Banta, (Joe), Dolly Hruska, (Dave), Terry Metz, (Sandie) and Cindy Simonson. Rick grew up in Fort Dodge, Ia and enlisted in the Marine Corps. Rick was deployed to the Vietnam War where he achieved several awards/medals and was honorably discharged. Rick was a valued and loved family member and will be sorely missed. He may be gone too soon but never forgotten. Rick will be laid to rest at Vanmeter Military Cemetery 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive Dallas County, Ia on October 23rd, 2020, at 11 AM.
