CALLENDER — Betty Ann Lane, 89, died Monday, October 19, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society Manson.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Our Saviours Lutheran Church, Callender with Pastor Greg Stano & Pastor Deb Stano officiating. Burial will be in Callender Cemetery. A visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the church until the time of the service. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is serving the family.

Betty is survived by her husband, Paul Peterson; daughters, Susan (Greg) Anderson; Nancy (Alan) Burger; Jeannie (Karl) Streit all of Gowrie; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Treva) Burk of Smithville, MO; sisters, Karen (William) Kurth of Lake City and Shirley (Tom) McShane of Valley, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mabel (Allen) Burk; husband, Robert Lane; son, Kevin Lane; sister, Lois Spencer and granddaughter-in-law, Angela Burger.

Betty Ann Burk was born October 7, 1931 in Lake City. She graduated from Lohrville High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Lane on November 12, 1950 in Lake City. They made their home and raised their family in Callender. Betty provided in Home Health Care for many years. Robert passed away on September 18, 2009. She then married Paul Peterson in 2010. Betty was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Gowrie’s Federated Women’s Club and Our Saviours Lutheran Church. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and her Saturday morning coffee group.
