RUBY JOHNSON

Ruby Marie Demien was born June 30, 1930, in Calhoun County. In 1948 she married Paul Johnson and the couple settled in Farnhamville. In 1966 the family moved to rural Humboldt. Ruby worked at Hotsy until her retirement in 2000. Ruby was a master gardener and excellent cook. She loved being outdoors and walks to the river were a staple of family holidays.

Ruby is survived by sons Larry (Lynda) of Dakota City and Donovan of Yankton, S.D.; daughter Paulette of Humboldt, daughter-in-law Monica of Humboldt; three granddaughters and two great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her son, Kirby and husband, Paul.

Ruby and Paul will be memorialized at a later date.
