LONNIE WILDT

Lonnie E. Wildt, 66, of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Lonnie is survived by his daughters Christina (Joe) Morrow of Mesa, AZ; Adella (Shannon) Anderson, Leilani (Ben) Grell both of Fort Dodge, grandchildren Tara, Bailey, Keely, Grant, Ace, great-grandchildren, Kash, Kayd, Gracelyn, Terrance, sisters Lynette Strafford of Missouri, Lori (Amos) Duckworth of Pennsylvania, Rhonda Elliott of Boone, brothers, David Wildt and Danny Wildt both of Boone, brothers-in-law Jesse Lara of Fort Dodge, Tim Lara of Fort Dodge, Manuel Lara of Cedar Rapids, Julian Lara of Otho, sisters-in-law Linda Hood of Otho, Adella Cleveland of Cedar Rapids, Rebecca Bygness of Fort Dodge, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lupe, father, Delbert Wildt, mother and stepfather, Theresa Schoon and Milford Schoon, brother, Larry Wildt and sister Linda Stiles, brothers-in-law Gomez, Paul, and Robert Lara.

Lonnie Eugene Wildt was born October 28, 1953 in Fort Dodge. At a young age he joined the Peace Corps. He married Lupe Lara in 1976 and the couple made Fort Dodge their home. He worked for Woodruff Construction, Fort Dodge Asphalt, Americold, and Land O’Lakes. Lonnie could be found playing pitch at Chesterfield Lounge and hanging out at the 4th Street Depot in his free time. He will be missed by his family, especially his daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
