LINDA HUTCHINSON-MURPHY

A Celebration of Life for Linda Hutchinson-Murphy of Apple Valley, Minnesota formerly of Fort Dodge will be 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at the Tompkins Celebration Center, Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. Feel free to attend with your memories of Linda to be shared.

A time of gathering for family and friends will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Celebration for Linda on Saturday at the Tompkins Celebration Center.

Linda Hutchinson-Murphy passed away on January 31, 2019, in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 1 day.

She is survived by her husband, Jack of Apple Valley; their three children and six grandchildren, Mike (Amy) Murphy of Burnsville, Minnesota and their three daughters, Emma, Audrey and Nora; Chris (Lisa) Murphy of Chaska, Minnesota and their son, Jamie; Patrick (Cara) Murphy of Park City, Utah and their two children, Leo and Annabelle. She is also survived by her sister, Carol (Richard) Clark of Cedar Falls, Iowa. Linda is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael Hutchinson.

Linda Hutchinson, the daughter of Charles and Vivian (Olson) Hutchinson, was born May 30, 1945, in Brainerd Minnesota. Linda was a member of the 1963, graduating class of Fort Dodge Senior High School.

In 1966, Linda was united in marriage to Jack Murphy. After their marriage the couple made their home in Cedar Falls while Jack finished his schooling at UNI. After Jack’s graduation from college in 1968, the couple moved to Minnesota.

Linda was very artistic and creative person. She was known for her portrait paintings and her seamstress skills. Linda was very involved in 4H as a youth and made most of her children’s toddler clothes. Linda was involved in Arts and Craft Shows making and selling her custom handmade items in the five state area.
