WILLIAM FRANCIS KERWIN

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Marian Home Chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll, Iowa, at a later date. The Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

William “Bill” Francis Kerwin was born June 28, 1931, in Carroll, Iowa, to William James Kerwin and Lillian Frances Hoeft Kerwin.

After school Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict serving from 1951 until 1955. For a time he was assigned duty at Reykjavik, Iceland.

Surviving Bill is Mary Jane Mosman, sister, 740 Lake Blvd, Redding, CA 96003. Preceding Bill in death are his parents, brother, Rev. Joseph Anthony Kerwin, and sister, Rita Marie Kerwin.

Bill worked for Model Clothing helping dress many people in the most stylish fashion. Bill was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. Later in life, Bill lived at the Marian Home Village, and Marian Home Health Care Facility.

Bill always kept current with news and sports, especially the Hawkeyes and Cyclones and of course the Cubs!

All the time Bill remarked at what great care he received from the Marian Home Staff, plus the Wound center because of the great care and friendly staff. Also Bill cherished Jane Zenor for her devotion to his care.

Memorials may be left to the Marian Home Recreational fund.
