JOHN PAUL “J.P.” JONES
John Paul “J.P. Jones, 71, a Fort Dodge, IA, native, formerly of Rolfe and recently of Goodell, IA, life long trucker and avid outdoorsman, died, June 19, 2018, at Iowa Specialty Hospital, Belmond.
A public celebration of life and reception will be from 2-4 PM, Sunday, August 12, 2018, at the enclosed shelter facility at Lake Cornelia, 1768 O’Brien Ave., Clarion. The family suggests casual fishing, hunting and outdoor attire in J.P.’s honor and bring along your stories and memories of John to share if you wish. John Paul is survived by his companion of 25 years Christine Ziemann, Goodell; son John “Kevin” (Amanda Jones) and their sons Drake and Tanner Jones all of Rolfe; his daughter Jennifer Jones (fiance Charlie McLeroy of Rolfe), and her daughter Jessica Jones, Pocahontas, and Shelbi, Nicholas and Eric Benedict all of Rolfe; also Christine’s children Beth (Dane) Holmgaard and their kids Connor, Caden, and Katrina Holmgaard all of Goodell; and Jason (Michelle) Ziemann, and their daughter Amarantha Ziemann all of Thornton, IA.
