Darleen Emrich Thompson, age 91 of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on August 16, 2017. Darleen was a former resident of Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Darleen was preceded in death by husband, Wayne Thompson and son-in-law Michael Perkins. She is survived and will always be missed by daughters, Carol (Pat) Lennon of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Doris Perkins of Jefferson City, Tennessee and Debbie Redmond of Corryton, Tennessee; granddaughters, Stacey (Mike) Irvine of Clive, Iowa, Kelsie (Mark) Van Gorkom of Ankeny, Iowa, Mackenzie Lennon of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Sydney (Kent) Flynn of Knoxville, Tennessee and Samantha (Bryan) Knowles of Knoxville, Tennessee; great-children Andrew and Matthew Irvine, Brinlee Van Gorkom, Maryah McDonald, Lila and Kori Flynn, Beckett Knowles, and twin great-grandsons due in December; sister, Audrey Watson of West Des Moines, Iowa and sister-in-law Shirley Thompson of Afton, Iowa. Special thanks to Courtyard Continuum for their wonderful care and kindness shown, especially Amy, Brittney, and Gail.
