IONE CAQUELIN

LAKE CITY — Ione Caquelin, 85, died Wednes­day, July 26, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Fun­eral ser­vices will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 30th at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastor Roy Karlen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Lampe Funeral Home and burial will be at a later date in the Troy Cemetery, Troy Township.

Delores Ione (Orr) Caquelin was born on September 5, 1931, on the family farm in Woolstock, Iowa to Earl and Stella (Nelson) Orr. She graduated from Woolstock High School in May 1949. On June 26, 1949, Ione married Glenn Caquelin in Woolstock. She owned Caquelin Antique Shop in Fort Dodge for over 20 years.

Ione is survived by her children Linda (Mike) Engleman of Mason City, Steven (Terri) Caquelin of Des Moines, Glenda (David) Smith of Custer, SD and Dixie (Doug) Filmer of Lake City, 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn in 2011, grandson Justin Smith, granddaughter Jessica Engleman, and sisters Dora Mae Asche and Ruth Ann Green.
