TERRY VERN WIIG

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Terry was born in Harlan, IA on February 27, 1957. He grew up on a farm near Kirkman, IA and attended elementary and high school in Irwin, IA, graduating in 1976. After graduation, Terry moved to Fort Dodge and was an Assistant Manager at McDonalds. He then was employed at Fort Dodge Transmission and eventually became a self-employed Auto Mechanic. Terry was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Burnside.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Wiig; grandparents, Chris and Louise Wiig and James and Margaret Batten.

Terry is survived by his mother, Margaret Wigg of Harlan; daughter, Natalie Neavin; two grandsons, Robert and Ryan of Fort Dodge; brothers, Gene and Julie Wiig of Kirkman, IA; Larry Wiig of Council Bluffs, IA; sister, Cathy and Gene Cavenaugh of Harlan, IA; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and many friends.

Terry was a unique individual and a person you’ll soon never forget. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
