LAKE CITY – Katie Owens, 91, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Shady Oaks Nursing Home in Lake City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake City with Father Lynn Bruch officiating and burial in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City with a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and scripture prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
She is survived by her children, Patty Owens of Sioux City, IA, Barb (Bob) Knobloch of Jamestown, NY, Joan Robertson-Lauer (Carlier) of South Dakota, Elaine (Gary) Lietz of Lake City, IA, Geri (Rusty) Lainson of Des Moines, IA, Mathew (Jewel) Owens of Glendale, AZ, Chris Owens of Sandy, UT, and Dan Owens of Dubuque, IA, grandchildren Chad (Aileen) Lietz, Rachel (Keith) Naughton, Amanda (Kenny) Park, Megan Owens, one great grandson Dwight Reiling, brother Alan Hogan of Omaha, NE and sister Peggy Golden of California. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, son Michael, parents, F.P. and Mayme Hogan, brothers Michael and Franklin, and sister Helen Burns.
