MANSON – A. Robert (Bob) Miller, 87, died at the Marian Home on Fri. Jan. 2, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Tues. Jan 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Manson followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4 until 7 p.m. at Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home in Manson where there will be a rosary by the Knights of Columbus at 4:00 and a prayer vigil at 6:30 p.m.
Bob is survived by his wife Anna; children Patricia (Thomas) Ledford of Barnum, IA; Andrew (Rachel) Miller of Rockwell City, IA; Martha (Bernie) Abbuhl of Red Oak, IA; Jane (Steve) Lawler of Ogden, IA; Joseph MIller of Rockwell City, IA; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Delores Ann Nelson and Mary Lou Siebels.
Andrew Robert Miller was born on May 10, 1927, on the family farm between Rockwell City and Manson, IA, the son of Andrew S. and Elizabeth (Lang) Miller. He graduated from Manson High School in 1944, and then farmed with his father. He was employed by Bodocken Implement and continued to work there after it became Dahlke Implement of Manson. He also worked at the elevator in Richards. On Jan. 15, 1951, he married Anna Mosbach at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Manson and they continued to live on and farm the family farm until retiring and moving in to Manson.
