Douglas Dreamers do service project

Recently the Douglas Dreamers 4-H Club did a service project with a grant the club received from the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation with Iowa Select. With this grant they received 40 pork loins and $500. The club purchased green beans, pork and beans, fruit cocktail, barbecue sauce, cookie mix and corn muffin mix. Members then packed 40 meal bags that were given to families in need that members of the club had identified or local schools took to. Club members learned leadership, partnering with others such as Fareway to purchase items, teamwork and helping others.
