Koch, Georgia Pacific take on Earth Day project

Employees from Koch Fertilizer, along with its affiliate Georgia-Pacific Fort Dodge Gypsum, joined forces to complete an Earth Day project in Fort Dodge. Georgia-Pacific started out the day with a road side and ditch clean up on Mill Road, heading north from their plant. In a short two hours, they collected a full pickup load full of trash that had been discarded in their area — everything from cans and bottles, tires, car parts, even a patio umbrella. After lunch, employees from Koch Fertilizer accompanied them to plant trees at the newly developed OHV Park Campground just east of the gypsum plant. Brody Bertram from Webster Country Conservation helped facilitate this project by providing trees and instructions, along with tools needed and mulch to assist in planting the trees. Their combined Earth Day efforts helped to promote a healthier environment, and eventually some much needed shade at the campground.
