Badger Lake Dragon Boat Association donates to Cancer Center

The Badger Lake Dragon Boat Association recently presented a check for $6,000 to Trinity Foundation for the Norma Schmoker Cancer Center. The donation was made possible through the proceeds from the 2024 Badger Lake Dragon Boat Festival Auction hosted by the Angels Abreast team. “On behalf of Trinity Foundation, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the proceeds from your successful auction, which have been generously designated to support cancer care. Your dedication to this cause ensures that patients and their families receive the specialized care and resources they need during their journey. This gift not only strengthens our programs but also brings hope and healing to those facing some of life’s most challenging moments. Thank you for your incredible generosity,” said Alyssa Stanek, executive director, UnityPoint Health — Trinity Foundation. The check presentation took place on Nov. 13 at UnityPoint Health — Fort Dodge, where members of the Badger Lake Dragon Boat Association were joined by UnityPoint Health leadership and staff.
