Jon ‘JJ’ Bonnell honored at FDSH
The Fort Dodge Veterans Council and the Mid-Iowa Detachment of the Marine Corps League presented a plaque to Fort Dodge Senior High in honor of Sgt. Jon “JJ” Bonnell Jr.’s service. JJ was killed in Iraq in August of 2007 when he stepped on an improvised explosive device. Bonnell was a FDSH alum and member of the Dodger baseball team. The plaque will be hung in the high school cafeteria just outside one of the entrances to the main gym.
