Nelons to perform at Faith Community Church

PALMER — Faith Community Church of rural Palmer welcomes back the music ministry of the Nelon family. The Nelons will be ministering at 10 a.m. on June 20. The Nelons have an incredibly rich history in gospel music. They have traveled on the Gaither Homecoming Tour, been inducted into the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame, received three GRAMMY nominations, won nine Gospel Music Association DOVE Awards, and watched many songs soar to the top of national radio charts. Our Saviour’s garage sale June 11 and 12

CALLENDER — Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Callender, is holding a garage sale from 4 to 8 p.m. June 11 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 12. Those attending should use the west door. Masks are optional and no luncheon will be served.

Lehigh UMC holding supper June 13

LEHIGH — Lehigh United Methodist Church, Lehigh, is holding a second Sunday supper from 5 to 7 p.m. June 13. The menu is choice of a walking taco or baked potato bar plus desserts for a freewill dontaion. Dining will be held in the basement with carryout and drive up available. It is recommended to call 359-2329 a few minutes before arrival for drive up orders.

Holy Trinity holding Corpus Christi procession June 6

Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 2220 Fourth Ave. N., will hold a Eucharistic procession to celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi (Body of Christ) at 11 a.m. June 6, following 10 a.m. Mass. The procession will begin and end at the church. Additional parking will be available at St. Edmond School.

Holy Trinity Rocky Railway VBS will be held June 7 to 11

Holy Trinity Catholic Parish will be hosting its annual Vacation Bible School from 8 to 11:30 a.m. June 7 through 11 at St. Edmond School, 2220 Fourth Ave. N. CDA will hold a special Mass at 6 p.m. Thursday

Rita A. Carlson was recently elected Iowa State Regent of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. In recognition and celebration of Carlson’s accomplishments and new position as Worthy State Regent, CDA Court 216 invites all parishioners, family and friends to attend Mass at Holy Trinity Church at 6 p.m. on Thursday. Following Mass and photos, CDA members will go to the Corpus Christi Center for dinner and meeting. RSVP for dinner to Betty Kelly, 515-573-2512, by Tuesday noon May 11.
