POMEROY — The Rev. Craig Vote and his wife Karen Vote will share their “A Miracle on U.S. Highway 169” story at the Evangelical Covenant Church during an annual guest night event.

The presentation is Aug. 28, starting at 7 p.m.

The church is 5 miles north of Pomeroy and 8 miles south of Pocahontas. The address is 21822 600th St.

Craig Vote is a pastor at Harcourt Covenant Church. He and his wife have served there for 27 years.

The Votes were in a serious motorcycle accident in June of 2017 on U.S. Highway169 when a semitrailer turned west in front of them as they were traveling south.

Craig was able to lay down the motorcycle in an effort to avoid the collision, but they were both seriously injured and airlifted to a Des Moines hospital.

They love thanking God for his goodness and miraculous provision as they had an amazing recovery.

Hundreds of people prayed for them and demonstrated the love of Christ in many ways. They sharply realized that we have an enemy who wants to harm us, but they experienced the power of prayer and angelic protection.

The event is free and open to the public. There will be door prizes and refreshments at the close of service.
