Aaron Zimmerman to be ordained Sunday

Aaron Zimmerman will be ordained into the office of holy ministry and installed as pastor of the newly formed multipoint parish of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Farnhamville, and Immanuel Lutheran Church, Pomeroy, at 2 p.m. Sunday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Farnhamville. The Rev. Dr. Steven Turner, president of Iowa District West, LCMS, will officiate and preach at the special service.

Aaron Zimmerman was raised in Apple Valley, Minnesota, and attended Concordia University, St. Paul. He graduated in 2011 with a degree in elementary education. He was called as a Lutheran classroom teacher to Dubuque Lutheran School in Dubuque. He taught three years as the kindergarten/first-grade teacher. He met his wife, Jennifer, at Dubuque Lutheran. They were married on Nov. 24, 2012. The Zimmermans have three daughters: Emilia, 5; Maria, 3; and Katrina, 4 months.

Zimmerman’s vicarage was at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls and at St. John’s in Hubbard. He graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in May.
