Beacon of Hope leader to speak at church
POMEROY — Steve Roe, director of the Beacon of Hope Shelter in Fort Dodge, will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Evangelical Covenant Church of Pomeroy.
The church is located five miles north of Pomeroy and eight miles south of Pocahontas.
Roe will be sharing his story as well as that of the Beacon, and a few of the men may also accompany him to tell of their stories of how God has led them from “Darkness to Light.” Refreshments will follow the presentation.
There is no charge for the evening, but guests are invited to bring a donation for the shelter of paper goods (plates, cups, towels, toilet paper) or coffee supplies (coffee, creamer, sugar).
