Lifetree Cafe topic is about challenges

The potential impact of living out the Golden Rule will be explored at Lifetree Cafe at noon and 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Cana.

The program, titled “‘Give Me a Break!’ Living a Grace-Filled Life,” features conversations surrounding the giving and receiving of breaks in life.

“Many have heard of the Golden Rule, of treating others as you want to be treated, but people rarely have a chance to pause and assess its potential impact,” said Lifetree Cafe national director Craig Cable. “This Lifetree program provides a unique opportunity for participants to discuss what role the Golden Rule plays in their everyday lives.”

During the program, Lifetree participants will be given the opportunity to describe times they have both given and received undeserved breaks and to examine the aftereffects.

Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Cafe is located at Cana, 18 S. Third St.

Lifetree Cafe is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting. Questions about Lifetree may be directed to the Rev. Barbara Huisman at 302-8036.
