Man jailed in sex abuse case A Fort Dodge man has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a 13-year-old over the course of a year. Joshua J. Jacobsma, 45, of 1338 Third Ave. N.W., was arrested by Fort Dodge police and charged with three counts of second degree sexual abuse and three counts of lascivious acts with a child, court records show. The assaults on the child occurred between January 2023 and January 2024, according to criminal complaints filed against Jacobsma.
