Highway 20 crash investigation continues MOORLAND — State troopers continue to investigate a Thursday evening pileup on U.S. Highway 20 west of Fort Dodge. It was reported at 5:27 p.m. in the eastbound lanes near Hayes Avenue. Lt. Aaron Smidt of the Iowa State Patrol said two crashes occurred in the same area within a short time. Two people were taken from the scene by ambulance. One of the vehicles was a semitrailer that ended up in the ditch on the south side of the highway, leaving its load of hay bales scattered about. Two hurt in Highway 20 pileup MOORLAND — Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 20 in Webster County Thursday evening. The crash was reported at 5:27 p.m. in the eastbound lanes near Hayes Avenue. One of the vehicles was a semitrailer that ended up in the ditch on the south side of the highway, leaving its load of hay bales scattered about. FD man pleads guilty to meth, cocaine dealing A Fort Dodge man accused of dealing significant amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court. Matthew Groat, 41, admitted that between August 2025 and November 2025, he distributed more than 2,200 grams of methamphetamine and at least 10 grams of cocaine, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa reported.
