WC schools go on lockdown during nearby drug raid WEBSTER CITY — Two Webster City schools put enhanced security measures in place Friday morning while law enforcement officers searched a nearby home as part of a narcotics investigation. That search was one of several conducted Friday, according to the Webster City Police Department. One location was close to the Webster City Middle School and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School. Man pleads guilty to meth, gun charges LAKE CITY — A Lake City man accused of helping to deal about 4 pounds of methamphetamine has pleaded guilty to federal drug and gun charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa reported.
