FD woman sent to federal prison for meth dealing
A Fort Dodge woman prosecutors say helped to sell about 30 pounds of methamphetamine has been sent to federal prison.
Sally M. Green, 52, pleaded guilty in March to one count of conspiracy to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine, according to the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Iowa.
On Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand sentenced Green to 151 months in federal prison, the attorney's office reported.
Federal prosecutors said Green admitted to dealing about 30 pounds of methamphetamine between January 2024 and April 2025. They said an informant told law enforcement officers that Green was a "pound-level distributor of methamphetamine in the Fort Dodge area."
On April 1, 2025, law enforcement officers bought about a quarter pound of methamphetamine from her, the Attorney's Office reported. That same day they searched her home and found a .45 caliber pistol, ammunition, $3,000 in cash, drug distribution items and about 585 grams of methamphetamine.
Green remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshal's Service until she can be transferred to a federal prison.
