Fort Dodge man arrested for making threats with gun

A Fort Dodge man was arrested on multiple charges after pointing a handgun at a city code enforcement worker on Wednesday, according to court records.

Douglas A., Dillingham, 35, of 3108 10th Ave. S., was arrested by Fort Dodge police and charged with:

• Intimidation with a dangerous weapon

• Going armed with intent

• Assault while displaying a dangerous weapon

• First degree harassment

The incident happened between 3 and 4 p.m. Wednesday at Dillingham’s home,

In the criminal complaints filed against him, officers wrote that an individual was on Dillingham’s property for city code enforcement work when he confronted her, pulled out a handgun, pointed at her head and threatened to shoot her.

Dillingham made his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court Thursday morning. Magistrate Brandy Lundy ordered him held in jail on $30,000 cash only bond. She also scheduled a preliminary hearing for May 1.
