FD man sent to federal prison for sex crimes
A Fort Dodge man has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for sex crimes involving minors, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa reported.
Pry’Shayn Mosley, 21 pleaded guilty in November to sexual exploitation of a minor and distribution of child pornography, federal prosecutors reported.
They said that between May 2022 and October 2022, Mosley enticed two minors to engage in sexually explicit conduct so that he could produce visual depictions of it.
Mosley also admitted to possessing and distributing the child pornography he produced to others, prosecutors said.
When a search warrant was conducted at Mosley’s home, law enforcement officers seized several electronic devices, marijuana, drug distribution items, cash and two loaded firearms. Prosecutors said that while the search was underway, Mosley asked a juvenile in the residence to retrieve a package containing cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl and attempt to get rid of it. Officers stopped the juvenile before he could dispose of it.
Mosley was sentenced Monday by U.S. District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand. In addition to the prison sentence, Mosley was ordered to pay $700 in fines and assessments. He remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshal’s Service until he can be transported to a federal prison.
