A Fort Dodge man has been arrested and charged with sexual offenses related to separate incidents, according to court records.
Ronnie O. Shivers, 52, of 602 Third Ave. N., has been charged with third degree sexual abuse and indecent contact with a child, according to criminal complaints filed against him.
The third degre sexual abuse charge stems from incidents in February and March 2016, the criminal complaints state.
The indecent contact with a child charge is from an incident in April 2004 involving a girl who was 9 or 10 years old at the time, according to the criminal complaints.
Shivers was arrested Monday when Fort Dodge police officers found him at the intersection of First Avenue North and 10th Street.
He made his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court Tuesday morning. Magistrate William H. Habhab set Shivers’ total bond at $12,000 cash or surety.
