FD Police: Incident at Snell-Crawford was isolated
An incident in Snell-Crawford Park on Sunday morning that left a man injured was an isolated one, according to the Fort Dodge Police Department.
On Sunday, the FDPD reported that an unresponsive male with what appeared to be a laceration to the throat was reported to the Webster County Telecommunications Center shortly after 7 a.m. When officers and medics with the Fort Dodge Fire Department arrived, the male was still alive and was treated on scene before being transported to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center.
On Friday afternoon, the FDPD released a statement that after a thorough investigation by the FDPD and the Webster County Attorney’s Office investigator, it has been determined that it was an isolated incident and that there is no related danger to the public. The statement adds that the available evidence, including statements made by the injured male, “there is no reason to believe another party was responsible for inflicting the injury.”
