Mead faces multiple drug charges
A Fort Dodge man has been arrested on multiple drug-related charges stemming from a search in February.
Travis C. Mead, 34, is charged with two counts of intent to manufacture or distribute methamphetamine, one count of possession of precursor with intent, one count of possession of marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Law enforcement executed a search warrant at Mead’s apartment, 406 1/2 S. 17th St., on Feb. 23, where they allegedly found several items that were consistent with methamphetamine production, according to the criminal complaint, filed with the Webster County attorney’s office.
The complaint further stated that evidence was found both inside the apartment and inside a garbage can outside the building.
Mead was arrested Wednesday and made his initial appearance Thursday morning in Webster County Magistrate Court.
Magistrate Steve Kersten ordered Mead held on $205,000 bond.
Mead’s preliminary hearing was set for July 22.
