FDPL adult board game night is Monday

The Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., is holding board games for adults from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday in the large meeting room. There will be a wide varietty of both classic and new board and card games, but those attending are welcome to bring their own game also. With plenty of games to choose from (and tables for multiple games at once), there’s sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. The game nights will be held the third Monday of every month. Teen Lounge — Patrons in sixth through 12th grade are invited each Tuesday in November from 3:30 to 5 p.m.. Join us weekly for special activities, video games, snacks, crafts, board games, and more. Garden Club to meet Tuesday

The Fort Dodge Federated Garden Club meeting is 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Lion’s Den, 731 Exposition Drive. The speaker for the meeting will be Kimberly Geisler. Her program will be salve/balm making. She will explain the process from saving plants through making the salve. Visitors are welcome.

Winterings birds’ program today, registration required

It’s time to get your birding setups ready for winter. Webster County Conservation is partnering with the Webster County Birders group for this wintering birds’ program and to learn more about the winter bird count. The program is at 6 p.m. today at the Matt Cosgrove River’s Edge Discovery Center, 20 N. First St. Free online registration is required at www.mycountyparks.com. A few participants will leave with a bird house or bird feeder.
