Webb, Thompson promoted in FDPD

Two Fort Dodge police officers have been promoted as a result of the retirement of Lt. Matt Wilson after 29 years of service. Matt Webb was promoted from sergeant to lieutenant. He joined the Police Department in 2008. He was promoted to sergeant in 2023. He is a field training officer. In the past, he has served as a school resource officer and as a member of the Special Emergency Response Team. Allie Thompson was promoted from detective to sergeant. Adult Winter Reading Challenge at the Fort Dodge Public Library

The Fort Dodge Public Library is having an Adult Winter Reading Challenge this year. The challenge runs through Feb. 28. Pick up reading logs at the library and turn them in for a chance to win weekly prize drawings from Dariette/Ardys Mae Coffee and Desert, Stella’s Coffee Bar, and Bloomers Coffee. Casciato makes Dean’s List

Grace Casciato, of Fort Dodge, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must complete a minimum course load of 12 hours and have a grade-point average of at least 3.5.

Pudenz earns chiropractic degree

Alex Pudenz, of Callender, graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport. Palmer College of Chiropractic is the first and largest college in the chiropractic profession, with campuses in Davenport and Port Orange, Florida.
