Fort Dodge Women’s Connection invites all area women to a brunch at 9:30 on Aug. 11 at Tea Thyme, 2021 Sixth Ave. S. Tickets are $15 inclusive.
The special feature will be Rebecca Nelson, a hospital consultant with Unity Point Hospice in Fort Dodge. She will provide information on hospice care and end of life care.
The main speaker is Lori Mayer of St. Ansgar. Her talk is entitled “What Are You Looking For?” Many times we are looking for something to fill the empty inner void in life. Mayer shares about finding genuine peace. She is a retired LPN and has worked with special needs children as a paraeducator. She enjoys her time with family and friends, and anything outdoors! Known for her humor and laughter, Mayer looks at life with a positive outlook and her passion is encouraging and serving others. She has three children and seven grandchildren.
