SCC Students host Mental Health Awareness Walk and Inside Out Box display
ROCKWELL CITY — Students at South Central Calhoun Middle School will host a Mental Health Awareness event featuring their Inside Out Boxes — a creative project that helps students express emotions and experiences that are often unseen to normalize talking about mental health. The event invites families and community members to view the displays, take part in a mental health awareness walk, and connect with local resources.
The event will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Middle School.
The goal of the event is to raise awareness about the importance of mental health, encourage open conversations, and connect families with local support services.
This event is supported by Make It OK, an initiative of the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative focused on reducing mental health stigma and promoting mental wellness.
