As we prepare our city cemeteries for the spring season, all flowers and decorations will be respectfully removed and discarded during Clean-Off Week.

Items that will be removed include:

• Saddles, wreaths, and floral arrangements, including those in permanent vases

• Weathered American flags

• Non-compliant decorations such as ornaments, toys, signs, garden flags, and holders

• Wind spinners and non-integral vases or statues

Beginning Saturday, April 4, spring and Easter decorations may be placed in the cemeteries. Acceptable items include saddles and floral arrangements in permanent vases only.

The city of Fort Dodge owns and operates Oakland Cemetery, Memorial Park Cemetery and North Lawn Cemetery.
