Fort Dodge city yard waste site to reopen
The Fort Dodge Public Works Department compost site at the central garage, 3001 Eighth Ave. S., will open to city sanitation customers on Saturday.
These are the guidelines for the compost site:
• Access is limited to city residents receiving garbage service.
• Securely cover yard waste in trucks or trailers with a tarp.
• Separate tree branches from leaves and grass clippings. Branches should be under 4 inches in diameter and 4 feet long.
The site’s operating hours are 8 a.m. to noon on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
