Meth deals send FD man to prison
A Fort Dodge man is heading to federal prison for 12 years on drug charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa reported.
Marcus Hill, 33, had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of methamphetamine near a protected location, federal prosecutors reported.
According to the Attorney’s Office, Hill admitted to distributing methamphetamine between 2018 and March 2025. He sold more than 300 grams of pure methamphetamine to an individual cooperating with law enforcement on three occasions in March 2025. One of those deals took place within 1,000 feet of Deercreek Apartments at 700 S. 17th St. That apartment building, owned and operated by the Fort Dodge Housing Agency, is a protected location under federal law.
U.S. District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand sentenced Hill to 12 years in prison.
